Who is Steely Mae?

I’m an artist, an entrepreneur, a visionary and lover with a powerful feminine spirit.

My name is Heather Mae Shreckengost.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania's steel country, my metallic composition leaves me tall, lean and able to absorb everything. I'm a child of the stars with a strong Earthly presence.

A few years ago, I humbly opened my heart in search of guidance. Wanting to understand what it takes to live with intention, knowing and purpose, I

sought leaders who are connected with something bigger than themselves. Through their energy work and the practice of yoga, meditation, gratitude and awareness, I experienced a heart opening that centered me, tying me to my earthly roots and Taurean nature once again.

Now, I get to create daily. I practice letting go and flowing with the energy that moves through me and around me, including my thoughts! It’s this awareness I bring to my craft. I can source my client’s energy to create something so majestic, the weeping tears of completion nearly always meet me and the receiver. It’s a grounding process and a powerful understanding of our shared consciousness, so when harnessed, beauty unravels. I’m so grateful to share my creations with friends, family and new relationships in an effort to guide all to a stronger connection to Spirit.

Crystals and Stones as I Experience Them

Mined from the Earth, every stone has been created through our Planet’s natural process designing a unique, one-of-a-kind crystal. Each bead is different and holds qualities that make every aspect of your mala special. No markings, colors or combinations to ever be duplicated or positioned in that same layout again. As are the snowflakes that fall from the sky, in likeness, the beads represent our complexities and the beauty with in all of us.

With this connection to Mother Earth, I accept when a bead falls from my hand or a tassel color goes missing. I listen, watching and waiting for the next colorful piece to grab my attention before placing it on the cord. I sometimes retie a knot or switch a bead last minute if it doesn't feel right. Sometimes I repurpose materials from one mala to the next in an effort to honor the client. It’s a practice of letting go of my perfectionist nature while admiring the imperfections of an unbalanced round stone. I don't fight what comes and instead surrender to the choice and listen.

Sodalite Crystal and Beads

This understanding is what creates a process that is unique and special for each client. Each bead is intuitively placed as it will be, appreciating the quality and contrast of each stone with a loving grace for an everlasting bond. I can identify a bead that speaks to my heart within every mala and you will too. Thank you for the opportunity to share my gifts. You are deeply loved.
